I’m still trying to create professional PCBs so i wanted to tell some things that not worked for me.
-Why Did I Feel The Need To Create Professional PCB?
As you can see in the short video, the remote control actually works, but I didn’t want to trust a remote control wired like that while the drone is flying in the air. The jumper wires might leave from the pins. So I designed the PCBs below and ordered them from JLCPCB.
However, importing these PCBs to Türkiye was much more expensive than the PCBs themselves. Since I was curious and wanted to make professional PCBs at home cheaply, I started printing them myself.
-MAKING FIRST PCB : FLİGHT CONTROLLER
This was my first handmade PCB. I drawn the traces by my hands. The circuit was easy but it didn’t work this method well . The traces are broken because of the drawing it with ink. I should have used toner .
After this method , I’ve searched on the internet and found another method that uses UV light. Actually it reminds me photoligraphy machines but i don’t know anything about these machines , i know just that they are using UV light 🙂 . For this method , i ordered laminating machine, printer, UV film , UV leds and coopers.
-Making PCB By UV Light
You can create really precise drawings using this method, but it was inefficient in terms of cost/performance and labor. I didn’t need UV film and light to print PCBs, and I wasn’t dealing with such precise drawings. So I changed this method as well.
3- PCB MAKING USING TONER TRANSFER AND GREASEPROOF PAPER
This method really worked as described on the internet. However, the paper only needs to hold the toner, not stick to it. You can use advertising papers but my recommendation is to use paper that’s actually suitable for this purpose, which you can find on the internet. But the printer absolutely must be a toner printer. Inkjet printers cannot be used.

Summary:
To be honest, trying to make good PCB’s is so boring. it took me much time to try . But on the other hand , i’m happy to try these methods because i was really wondering the results for seeing if internet is true or not.
